FROM ROME:
Take the Aurelia, (SS1) north as far as Scarlino. Turn onto the road signed for Massa Marittima
and on reaching that town, take the ring road, thereby avoiding the town centre, and head for Volterra/Larderrella. En route, you will come to and go through the town of Castelnuovo Val di Cecina.
Look for a sign for the agriturismo Santa Caterina in the town’s main square, and head out towards Siena / Florence for approx. 2km until you come to a crossroads where you should turn left. The Santa Caterina is just 500m down that road – some 250 km from Rome and 80km from Grosseto.
FROM PISE:
Take the provincial road from Pontedera as far as Saline di Volterra from where you should follow the signs for Pomarance, Larderello and Castelnuovo Val di Cecina.
Look for a sign for the agriturismo Santa Caterina in the town’s main square, and head out towards Siena / Florence for approx. 2km until you come to a crossroads where you should turn left. The Santa Caterina is just 500m down that road – some 95 km from Pisa.
